Delegation 101

You don't have to run an oracle to take part. By delegating your FLR's vote power to a provider, you share in the rewards they earn — while keeping full custody of your tokens.

How it works

1. Wrap your FLR into WFLR (1:1, reversible any time). Only wrapped FLR carries vote power.
2. Delegate that vote power to up to two providers (by percentage). Delegation is a signal of trust — no tokens are transferred and the provider can never touch them.
3. The provider submits data each round. When they earn accuracy rewards, those are shared with their delegators, minus the provider's fee.

Because your FLR never leaves your wallet, the only thing you are exposed to is the provider's performance: a provider that misses the reward bands earns you less, and you can redelegate at any time.

The 2.5% cap

To keep the oracle decentralised, any single provider's effective weight is capped at 2.5% of the network when rewards are computed. Weight above the cap is redistributed. The consequence for you: a provider already past the cap earns nothing extra on the vote power you add, so your share of a fixed reward pool gets thinner, while a smaller provider at the same accuracy still converts every delegated FLR into weight. Bigger is not automatically better — Providers prints both the accuracy and the reward rate so you can check that against the field.

Choosing a provider

• Accuracy — how often they land in the reward bands. Compare everyone on Providers.
• Fee — the cut they keep. A lower fee leaves more for you, but only if the accuracy behind it holds.
• Eligibility — providers must meet minimum conditions or rewards are withheld.
