Stake FLR to our validator nodes

Staking is the second way a FLR holder earns from an oracle's accuracy. You stake on Flare's P-chain to a validator; the stake is mirrored into that provider's vote power, and it is paid out of the same round-by-round accuracy the delegation stream is paid from. What follows is our rate, our rank, and what our nodes are doing right now.

Annualised from reward_rate_total_mirror — the mirror reward per unit of stake plus the uniform base reward every staker also receives — over the ≈104 reward epochs in a year. That is the same basis aggregators such as FlareMetrics quote, and the explorer publishes it after fees have come out of the pool, so it is already a staker's own share. It is last epoch's rate, not a projection.

Figure Live P-chain data — platform.getCurrentValidators, matched against the node IDs our on-chain identity registers in EntityManager. IDs are elided in the middle; step 02 prints each in full. Uptime is the network's own measurement of a node, not ours, and the fee is the share of a staker's reward that node keeps. Staking and delegating are two different actions

same provider · different chain

Both streams pay for the same thing — submissions that land inside the network's consensus band — and both are earned by the provider you back. What differs is where your FLR sits while it earns. Delegating wraps FLR into WFLR that stays in your own wallet on Flare's C-chain and lends us its vote power. Staking moves FLR to your own P-chain address and locks it to a validator node for a term you choose; the network mirrors that stake into our vote power for as long as it is locked.

FIP.16 raised the weight the staking stream carries in a provider's vote power, so it is a larger share of what a FLR holder can earn than it once was. Neither stream is a precondition for the other: you can do either, both, or neither, and the accuracy record that decides what both pay is the same one.

We run the nodes in the panel above. We do not run the staking transaction — the Flare Portal does, from your own wallet, and this site has no P-chain flow of its own. Saying so is cheaper than building a second wallet path we could not support as well as the delegation one.

Stake from this page

non-custodial · every transaction signed in your own wallet

The same stake the Portal performs, without leaving this page or hand-copying a node ID: connect a browser wallet, pick a node from the live panel above, and sign each transaction as your wallet presents it. Depending on where your FLR sits this is two to four signatures — a C→P transfer first if the P-chain balance needs topping up, then the stake itself. We never take custody, and funds parked on your P-chain address by an interrupted attempt are found and used first on the next one.

  1. Connect your wallet

MetaMask or any EIP-1193 wallet, on Flare mainnet — the widget offers the network switch if you are elsewhere, and if several wallet extensions are installed you pick which one by name. A mobile wallet connects through the WalletConnect option — scan the QR with Bifrost, MetaMask Mobile or any WalletConnect wallet that supports Flare. Connecting signs nothing; it reads your C-chain, P-chain and staked balances so the plan below is stated before any prompt opens.

  2. Choose a node, an amount and a duration — then stake

Pick how long the stake locks: the 14-day network minimum, one to six months, or the full run to the node's own end date. A stake cannot outlast its node, so presets past that date are greyed out. The minimum amount is read live from the P-chain when you connect — currently 50.00K FLR.

    Stake confirmed

It unlocks on and returns to your P-chain address.

  3. Claim your staking rewards

Rewards land on the C-chain on the ≈3.5-day epoch cadence and wait until claimed — nothing expires. The claim is one ordinary transaction, it collects the entire claimable amount to your own address, and it works for stakes made here or on the Portal alike: the chain keys rewards by your address, not by where you staked. The figure is read live from ValidatorRewardManager when you connect.

No browser wallet, or prefer to do it on Flare's own site? The Portal walkthrough below performs exactly the same stake — take the node IDs with you, each has a copy button.

Or on the Flare Portal, step by step

four steps · performed on portal.flare.network

  1. Move FLR to your P-chain address

Open the Portal, connect your wallet, and use its transfer between your C-chain and P-chain addresses. Both addresses are yours and derive from the same key — this is a move between your own accounts, not a transfer to us or to anyone else. Leave a little FLR on the C-chain for gas.

  2. Choose one of our nodes

In the Portal's staking view, add a stake to a validator and paste one of the node IDs below. Each is registered to our on-chain identity, and each is a row in the panel at the top of this page — check its uptime and its end date before you pick it.

    • NodeID-2hWCwcnHGDE9bsHJ6ikV8Eu38FSaAFnbo
    • NodeID-P4vXckSMDUNvfCm1eDhEgUFsyawwneQuR
    • NodeID-79xXFeS8ZqXiBah4sxUzTYPksuJYS82cv
    • NodeID-4FUZ69HaskWngaUyU9nFmEkPXAM1zx4yG
  3. Choose an amount and an end date

The protocol minimum for a stake to a validator is 50.00K FLR, read live from the P-chain's own platform.getMinStake. The stake is locked until the end date you choose, and it cannot end after the node's own staking period does, which for our nodes runs out between 2026-10-05 and 2027-04-24 — that is what the "stake ends" column above is for. The Portal shows the durations currently allowed.

  4. Claim each reward epoch

Rewards accrue from the first reward epoch whose vote-power snapshot includes your stake, on the ≈3.5-day epoch cadence, and are claimed on the Portal — or automatically, if you enable auto-claim once. A stake made mid-epoch does not backdate, and nothing here expires: unclaimed rewards keep waiting for you.

What people ask before they stake

answered plainly

What is the minimum, and how long is it locked?

The network's minimum for staking to someone else's validator is 50.00K FLR — read live from the P-chain, not quoted from a document. A P-chain stake is locked for the term you set: there is no early exit, and the term cannot outlast the node's own staking period, so check the end dates above. The Portal shows the durations the network currently accepts.

What can go wrong?

Your principal is not taken from you — a Flare stake returns to your P-chain address when the term ends. The risk is to the rewards: a node that is not validating reliably earns less for everyone staked to it, which is why every node's measured uptime and connection state is printed at the top of this page rather than summarised into an adjective.

Staked FLR cannot be un-staked early. Delegated WFLR can be redirected at any epoch; a stake cannot. Pick a term you are willing to sit through, and if that is unattractive, delegation is the liquid option on the same accuracy record.

What fee do you take?

Each node publishes its own fee on the P-chain — the share of a staker's reward the node keeps — and ours are printed per node in the panel above, read from the chain rather than typed here. The staking APR at the top of this page is computed from reward_rate_total_mirror — the mirror reward plus the uniform base reward, which the explorer publishes after fees have come out of the pool, so it is already a staker's share. Every rate on this site is net; a provider quoting a gross figure is not comparable.

When do the rewards land?

On the reward-epoch cadence — roughly every 3.5 days. Your stake earns from the first epoch whose vote-power snapshot includes it, so a stake made mid-epoch starts paying from the next one, and each epoch's rewards are claimed on the Portal. The rate is not fixed: it is the mirror reward rate the epoch actually produced, which is the number this page ranks us on.
